Former president Bill Clinton was admitted to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital on Friday for heart bypass surgery after complaining of mild chest pain.

"The former president went to Northern Westchester Hospital yesterday afternoon after experiencing mild chest pain and shortness of breath. Initial testing was normal and he spent the night at home in nearby Chappaqua, New York. After undergoing additional testing this morning at Westchester Medical Center, doctors advised he should undergo bypass surgery.

The former Commander in Chief was seen at Westchester Hospital in New York yesterday, where tests revealed arterial blockage and heart disease. He is expected to undergo quadruple bypass surgery.

Clinton, 58, has no history of heart problems and is expected to recover.

I wish him well, too.

But I think I got a bigger smile at the idea that he's reading this.

What's Clinton's position on seeing more spread of the leg?

Joking aside, get well Bill.

I saw Mr. Clinton in the airport a few years ago when our school band was heading home from a festival. He stopped, talked to a few students, shook some hands. He seems like a nice guy. The Secret Service guys were pissed though...

I have a feeling the opposite is true. I think his heart is sometimes bigger than his brain.

I hope he's not. I believed Sen. Rodham is at his side.

I question the timing of his heart attack. Bush has a great convention, then all of a sudden Clinton has a heart attack? How convenient. He's obviously trying to steal Bush's thunder.

Yeah, I wouldn't wish a quadruple bypass on anyone. I'm sure he'll pull through.

my father had a quadruple bypass about ten years ago and, no exaggeration, nearly died on the operating table. so although the outlook is good for the bill (thank god) surgery of this severity is no joke. my heart is with you bill!
