I'd rather have my eyes pecked out by humming birds. And I am about as far left on the ole political spectrum as I can get with out being a dirty commie.

Heh, I was watching part of it while eating dinner.

Is it just me or does Hilary's voice rub anybody else the wrong way?

So, Shalome and I were just walking home through the alley behind our house. Due to the oddities of housing in the LBC, that side of the block is significantly more "ghetto" than this side of the block (in the sense that you're likely to see beat up, stained, 70's-era couches in the alley beneath torn screen windows with heavy bars over them and pink, ratty apartment buildings that look like they were put together with duct tape and haven't had cracks filled since 1964). Anyhow, we were walking down that alley and could hear the sounds of the convention coming from apartment window after apartment window.

It made us smile.

It made me think of Stockula, and all those "uneducated, uninformed voters who are only getting into things because Sean Combs said they should vote."

I smiled more. biggrin

Tomorrow, a SG Conservative will post the picture of Kerry at NASA today, and compare it to Dukakis in '88. Guaran-damn-teed.
Drudge is already trying to push it on his site.

Flight suit, anyone?

Trying to slander a legitimate war hero for bumping around NASA. While shrub was a draft dodger in the reserves, at best. Boy, that's rich.

I like this one better. After he lost his first election for congressman, Johnny Nam spent a lot of time at home building model airplanes

How old is he again? 25? Reminds me of the psycho kid in "The Butterfly Effect" who did nothing but build models all day.

Anyone catch Jimmy Carter's speech?

Good stuff. Stronger than I anticipated, more agressive. Maybe the Dems are finally going to start mixing it up.

a couple of questions:
1) can i shoot someone the next time a reporter says something like this: "Thursday night's speech will be the most important speech of John Kerry's career, and no one knows this more than.........John Kerry" thanks for the information, assshit.

2) whats up with becoming a delegate? Do they remind anyone else of Scifi conventioneers or Ren Faire enthusiasts? For every 'normal' guy in a suit , there are 4-5 obese people in silly hats with glazed eyes and slack jaws. Fucking weirdos.

3) How much does Bill Clinton love the stage? Shit, he hams it up...but seriously, heres a guy who got head in the oval office, and he STILL manages to come across more presidential than Bush.

yeah, that's the very picture of a happening, with it, 25 year old.

On on other hand, I have no doubt that if I really wanted too, I could get an equally damning picture of just about any 25 year old.

Bill Clinton has always been a good speaker.

Transcript of Bill Clinton's speech from the official 2004 Democratic National Convention website.

All transcripts from the convention are available.

That's really terribly insightful, Stockula. whatever

Here's another:

That's from 1984, after he had already co-founded Vietnam Veterans for America, become a prosecutor, created programs for rape counseling, served as Lieutenant Governor, and right after winning his first term as US Senator.

What was Shrub up to at that point? Oh yeah. Running around drunk and doing coke, and running two different oil companies (one an oil exploration company, the other an oil investment company) into the ground, shortly before he sold 212,000 shares of Harken energy stock -- to a mysterious, unnamed buyer who sought him out, according to a New York Times report -- for $848,000 and used the money to pay off the loan he took from Harken (on whose board he sat) and buy a share of the Texas Rangers.

Stock, if you're gonna post something you mean to be inflammatory, can you at least pretend it has something to do with the topic at hand?

It's like you're not even trying anymore...

I wonder if Bush thinks about all the Iraqi citizens he's killed by proxy.

Does the war finally become moot when he passes Saddam's total score?
