Transformers fans the world over are surely getting wet just thinking about the live action movie slated for release Summer 2006.

The only live-action Transformers available thus far has been Halloween costumes and this fan produced short.

Hasbro will work with the production team, DreamWorks and Paramount on all aspects of the film's creative development, marketing, promotions and will manage merchandising in conjunction with the release of the film. Hasbro will also team up with Takara, who has been the co-developer of the TRANSFORMERS brand since its beginning in the early 1980s.

With Steven Spielberg attached to executive produce, the next two years will be permeated with eager anticipation, to say the least.

fans (like me) will be expecting way to much out of this to ever be satisfied by a movie. Either that or we'll call it the greatest movie ever made (much like some are saying about the animated one)

In two years, this film better not suck. They have enough time to get it right.

Steven freaking Spielberg!!!

but if it is done in cgi instead of hitech giant robot puppets i think it will suck.
stars of the film in cgi no thank you.

the cgi autobot in the fanfilm is proof enough that it can be done right, cgi is much easier applied to machines than it is to organic things.

in my opinion they should just do a life action version of the transformers cartoon movie, it had all the dramatic stuff anyway.
optimus passing on the spark, megatron ascending, unicron devouring worlds, starscream, those evil piranha bot things, the giant construction vehicle bot etc.

yeah, unless this film has a bigger budget than p diddy booze cabinet, this film will suck.

please let them use all the old robots instead of making new ones thus making it shit.

is this the same guy who posted about The Live Action Evangelion movie too? Because That person said "Eva fans all over the world are certainly WET abot this"

Both of these films have been slated for nearly a year now, it's not a surprise to the fans of them...Do you just go through the IMDB looking for movies to make fun of, and say that fans are certainly wet over them...

no this is pushing forward. its made several websites. including, www.tformers.com and hasbro has sent out a press release. They are fast tracking the movie. so if anything it will be shot next year with a summer 06 release probably.

I actually cant stand Armada. I hate almost everything about it.

Beast wars. Now that was a worthy se/prequel. Because you could tell it was written by people who grew up with Transformers.

The PS2 game was pretty kickass. You'd probably hate it if you were gen 1 elite but I thought it was awesome, as far as games go.
