Well this is one of my main issues with Apple, the big brother feeling censoring and restrictions. This is why I'd rather go Android and be master of my own faith and media.
Whats your take? I would be pissed off if my email provider just deleted emails due to phrases in them.
Not stupid enough to make me give up my beloved MacBook by a long shot, but not cool.
My guess would be that Apple gave a program similar to SpamAssassin free reign to terminate eMails with extreme prejudice. Programs like this use a modified Baysian probability scheme to figure out what features in an eMail make them suspect. A phrase like "Barely Legal Teens" popping up in 1,000,000 spam-grams and only 10 or 20 legitimate letters could train such a program to always dump such letters.
To me, the most obnoxious part is that they dump the letters silently. When gMail refuses to send my letter because it contains an .exe file and thus MIGHT be trying to infect someone with something, that's obnoxious. But at least they tell me, so I can find another way to get the message to the person I need to talk to.
Yeah it's the silent censorship that bugs me, also I really dont like apple since they blocked SG app or what it was all those years ago. I am old enough to decide my own content

This post of yours pretty much sums up my thoughts on this.
It's understandable what they're trying to do - fighting against child pornography - but if the service being used is gonna block anything, then at least let us know (like the GMail example above mentioned by baudot). Just silently deciding what people can send or receive is terrible.
I sent that entire web page of that article to myself using mac mail and it went through. It has the phrase repeated many times. Maybe they got so much crap they turned it off! lol
I've always had a problem with the itunes system fucking me over on ipods and iphones, but this is another reason to hate apple products. I currently have an android phone now. Definitely will not get a mac from them.
That is annoying but I have a hard time believing Google is much better. Google's business is largely built on spying on it users (collecting sensitive info on them). Google could probably black mail half the people on the planet using that info and there having been several incidents showing Google and the carriers are using android to collect a lot of somewhat sensitive info on Android users. The article below is one of many.
I'm looking forward to seeing Ubuntu (Linux distro), Firefox OS and other phone operating systems. Tizen is another one but I know nothing about it. If privacy is your concern then you best choice might be hacking your existing phone and putting another operating system on it.

Thank you for the info, this pretty much shows that no current, popular OS is safe. We need to start becoming strong telepaths!

Damn, that's terrible as well.
I've known about the whole "Google reads your e-mails to show you targeted ads" thing for a while, there's even an online petition going on asking Google to cease that practice.
I myself am somewhat fine with it as long as it's only used for showing ads - it's not really something good from my point of view, but if it's only used for that purpose, then I guess it's not all that bad.
But, then again, what if in the future they start using it for other purposes, purposes that might be worse than merely showing ads?
It's worth stating that this is only iCloud emails and not your gmail (which is read by google) or your own exchange mail setup on the iPhone.
I can't say I actually know anyone who uses iCloud email when there are better services out there, but I suppose if you use a free service this is what we have to put up with....
Would've been nice to have been informed either way though I agree.

Hey hey hey. Barely legal is still legal. I can provide links to various SG sets as proof.
Creepiest thing I've ever posted, by the way.
Unrelated note, this is a good time to remind everyone not to bother reading anything posted on the Daily Mail. Use other websites, reputable ones that don't literally just make stories up.

Lol!
Yeah, you're right, my bad. I jumped to conclusions.
And actually, this leads me to something else - if this is not illegal, then why would Apple block it?
They are blocking it because they are forcing their puritanical view of what is "appropriate" upon you without you knowing it. I suppose they believe that blocking "barely legal" pornography somehow reduces the dissemination and proliferation of illegal child pornography.
I am undecided if I even have a problem with the blocking of the term but I am 100% against the sneaky non-disclosure of the practice.
