A principal near Boston might lose his job after making an introductory video of himself as the Terminator.

"We're all doomed."

"I thought it was inappropriate. It sent wrong message. Messages in that video were kind of disturbing. A woman terrorized in the hallway. They showed four empty classrooms. Where have the students gone?" said Frederick Foresteire, Everett superintendent.

I mean, he probably should have known better, but damn that's funny. If I were a high school student and my new principal made a video like that, I'd fucking love it. It's nice to see someone take a position that's usually seen as stern and overbearing and make light of it so students might find you more approachable...too bad he's probably going to get canned.

Considering recent events, I'm not sure this guy has the right mindset to be a principal if he thought this would go over well.

The concept was clever but his timing was horrible. That said, I'm not sure how much of an impact one's perceptiveness toward optics has on one's ability to be a school principal. I'd say the creativity that shows is more important.

Before what happened in Steubenville, oh came to light I might agree with you, but I would think the ability to have wisdom and use good judgement in setting an example for the children in the school you are supposed to be leading is far more important.

There have been a number of cases that make it apparent that there is some severe lack of quality adults setting good examples in the schools.

I'm not sure this is a fire worth offense, but I do think it's an example of how we should expect better judgement from the adults that are entrusted with children.
