Apart from the archaeology/CSI component this is not "current events", but it proves those who go on about "The Good Old Days" are full of BS.
For instance, living in Biblical times was hell, even if you were a king. And now we get more enlightened for each generation (which scares the hell out of some fundies & regressives).

Yeah, this has been happening since before the Pharaohs existed... Archaeology is full of the murders of various leaders. That's one of the reasons I love it so much.
