In a proposed bargain, Bradley Manning has agreed to accept responsibility for lesser crimes linked to the release of classified documents to Wikileaks if the US government agrees to drop other charges of espionage and aiding the enemy. The US hasn't responded to the plea proposal, and as yet no so deal has been offered by the government.

Manning is reportedly ready to admit to leaking the documents to WikiLeaks but is refusing to plead guilty to the charges of espionage or aiding the enemy.

This is the best case scenario for all parties involved. It's also the truth.
