Actually, we should not be surprised ordinary arabs have had enough. We have been conditioned to regard batshit-crazy muslim militants as the "normal" kind of muslims, when ordinary people are sick and tired of that kind of shit.
Unfortunately the nominal Libyan government is too weak to create the rule of law. Maybe ordinary people can fill that vacuum...
