Two more weeks of this and hopefully we'll never have to hear from her again!

Her resignation speech from the governorship seemed fairly meldowny to me...

Not at all. Her strength is that she never gets specific, but she is always vocal and indignant. She's working the same dumb-and-cocksure wannabe-blue collar strategy as Dubya did, but without a shred of baggage of being held accountable by holding public office.

The gullible are eating it up. She's got a great smile and a nice rack, and not a shred of intellect or competence in public office to threaten the GOP faithful, who are so used to electing idiots for whom "gubmn't bad" is a self-fulfilling prophecy that they wouldn't know a competent candidate if one hit them in the face with a silver spoon.

She'll never be a viable candidate, but then again that's the last thing she wants, having quit every public office shes ever held AFAIK.

We should not blithely dismiss the appeal she continues to hold to a large group of traditionalists who are ill-prepared for (and afraid of) the changes that happen all around them - not to mention the legion of whack jobs, birthers, unstable militia types, religious loons and militants she is happily making a profitable career pandering to.

You are correct, the difference between her and W is the lack of someone pulling the strings behind the scenes. If someone really focusing her and starts using her, she quickly moves from being a joke to being very dangerous.

Nuts, I came here to post this.

My concern isn't her getting elected. My concern is a more electable but similarly horrible candidate, like Huckabee, getting her endorsement.

The laughs just keep on coming

Former CNN host Lou Dobbs fueled already rampant speculation about his political future Monday, sending the clearest signals yet that he's mulling a bid for president — and leaving third-party political operatives salivating over the possibility of a celebrity recruit for the 2012 campaign.

Less than two weeks after announcing his departure from the cable network — and after a series of interviews in which Dobbs encouraged speculation about his political plans — the anchorman known to fans as "Mr. Independent" finally made his presidential ambitions explicit on former Sen. Fred Thompson's radio show Monday.

Splitting the "reasonable" racist vote would be the greatest service Mr. Dobbs could ever offer this country.
