5 weeks and counting. It fucking blows.

Seems like everybody in the UK has it too.

I had a figgen cold for abut nine months stright, i only just got rid of it, in the bloody flu season

i'm still safe.

don't have it, haven't had it. i've never been really sick in my life, which means that i either 1) have an amazing immune system, or 2) am going to die the first time i get really sick.

I don't know what I have... I feel like it's the flu but it's like my body is trying REALLY hard to have me not be sick - so at random I feel like puking and I have a headache and then other times I don't. A high school girl in Albany died from the flu though... it's gotta be bad if people that are like 17 are dying.

So sick I got sick twice.

Bunchahorshit.

I felt like I had no back it was in so much pain... fuuuuck.

In rained here in San Diego. We were all so suprised.

Yeah darlin'...

It ain't pretty. First two weeks were all chesty and shit then 2 weeks of aches and pain and an infection (no more information required) and then just as that was clearing up - I got a headcold that I've had for a week.

I'm so fucking tired of this shit.

I think "flu" is a sort of word people use for anything that makes them feel shitty. Usually, it's a combination of colds and allergic reactions to having to live cooped up in your house with dust and shit floating around.

If you get real, honest to god Influenza, though, that will put you flat on your ass for a week, at least. It sucks ass.

The tell-tale signs of Flu are very high fever, body aches and severe temperature change. You might be sweating through your clothes but you're shivering like it's 20 below.

it's been insane at my work {retail} ... we've been running the store with 5 people at a time, when it normally requires at least 15 people... just as it seems everyone is better another bunch of people get sick. i haven't got it yet but i have really run down and my stomach has been queasy for the past week, so either i'm fighting it off or im about to get it. blagh

I went and got the flu shot this season, the first time since I was in the Army 10 yrs ago. I hope it works, I can't afford to be sick. If I feel like I'm getting sick I take Zinc, Vitamin C , Vitiman E and a couple of tylenol They work well together and usually do the trick. Muzencab is right about zinc, you should only take it while you are feeling crappy, it is no good for you if you take to much, but it does help your body absorb Vitiman C.

I already had a pretty nasty flu in October. The worse I had in my life. The type that goes from the stomach straight to the bowels.....

But isn't this flu epidemic stuff a bit hyped?

i dont know what it is but i hardly ever get sick. i never eat healthy or anything. maybe everyone should try a nonstop pizza and beer diet like me

-i haven't gotten it yet, but everyone i know has it. i itried to get a flu shot, but no doctors around here have any left. you can get enough heroin to kill a small village in africa, but you can't get a flu shot.

I'm just waiting for the inevitable.People all around me seem to be getting it.I hope I can hold out till the end of the year because I get profit sharing at work and it's based on attendance.So far no days missed this year.

taking care of my mom who has pnemonia and with a step dad in the house who had the flu, amazingly i'm still germ free (knock on virtual wood). Hope all you Flu sufferers get better though.
