"I'm proud to be a Panther," says King. "We don't ease up. We're going to keep putting our foot up the white man's ass until they understand completely. We want freedom, justice and muthafuckin' equality. Period. If you ain't gonna give it to us, muthafucka, we're gonna take it, in the name of freedom"

Dear Mr. Scary Guy:
If you want freedom, justice and equality, please stop being scary
Thank You

What would that be, exactly, that the white man is the devil? Sorry, got nuthin' for ya.

Seriously though, while the guy has clearly stripped his gears, it is worth remembering that Fred Hampton was indeed executed by the CPD, not 150 years ago or 50 years ago but within my lifetime. Food for thought the next time somebody says black people should just get over it.

Actually I imagine youre quoting Kia Gregory. I doubt Mr. Shabazz spelled it for her.

"He's never going to let us live inside the Constitution," King says. "Until we realize that, we're going to remain dumb, deaf and blind. I can't wait for the day that they're all dead. I won't be completely happy until I see our people free and Whitey dead."

Wake the fuck up bro! [Hangs his head and sighs...]

Sorry but that doesn't cut it for me. If you want to use that perspective then you would agree that all homosexuals can have a justified vendetta towards the heterosexuals for an event like the beating of Matthew Sheppard. "It happened within my lifetime to someone who was not my kin" sorry, that may be cause for action but never an excuse for ignorance.

I would be receptive to the argument that the recent death of kin could put a person in a frame of mind that is not in conjunction with a firm grasp of reality, but the death of a person whom one "feels a connection" to through race, religion, sexuality or gender, nope.

It is worth remembering EVERY injustice that occurs during your lifetime, but people do not have a cross to bear because of things like this. To think of it from that perspective is to enable someone to justify immoral and wrong behavior.
