I saw a thing on TV about people who do this for a living. Some of them make pretty good money when they get good at it. Slipping and falling is a profitable business it seems.

There was me feeling sorry for her when I first read about it (even if I did have a joke with MisterSatan...) but now, I just think she ought to learn to stand on her own two feet (literally and financially) People like her suck.

See, it's posts like this that make me wish we had a Post Of The Day function like the old forums site I used to frequent... People would click the POTD button on a post they thought was awesome for one reason or another, and at the end of the day, it'd end up on the front page as "Yesterday's Post Of The Day" or whatever... awesome way to show your appreciation for someone who makes a good crack. Or, occasionally, even says something insightful. But no, usually, just some wiseass.

Dude, she was admitted to the hospital. Thay don't do that unless you've been fucked up decently (at least not around here).

It's not that hard to fake some soft-tissue injury -- doctors will usually keep you at the ER if you whine loud enough. I smell insurance fraud.

And those damn insurance fraud cases are what keep the insurance rates so high...

Oh. they do here. cuz we have free health care. if i said "i've just been trampled by numerous ravenous wal-mart shoppers, now i have shortness of breath and severe abdomen pains", they'd do some x-rays and keep you overnight for observation... OH WAIT i think they would everywhere.

Its easy to get admitted to the hospital you go in and make a complaint especially something like trampling where there may be internal problems they have to keep you especially if your lawyer talks to the doctors. Everyone gets paid its all good.
I hate lawyers. Its shit like that, that keeps lawyers in business, expenses for honest people high.

When I first read this, I thought the same thing as many of you "what a scammer". But what if she's for real. How many times have you been hurt at work, or else where, and just kept going. I've not reported injuries, and pushed through it. I've fallen and been sore for weeks. What if she has a pre-existing condition that lowers her pain threshold?

What if this woman is really standing up for herself, when she's been treated poorly in crappy jobs?

Maybe we're too quick to judge.
