In the interest of being fair and balanced.

Never owned one, don't see any reason to purchase one at this time.

Voted for Obama.

Don't really see how owning a gun or not is relevant to anything. Complete non-issue.

Agreed. Those reactionary types, always clinging to their guns and God...

Don't own a gun. Never owned a gun. Never plan on owning a gun.

Voted for Ron Paul.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Just kidding! Of course I voted for Obama. biggrin
I just wanted to say something absurd, I'm pretty sure the Paul supporter to gun ownership ratio is something like 1:1.

It was more just a curiosity since many gun owners traditionally vote Republican. Being one of those gun owners whose 2nd amendment rights are important to and yet still voted for Obama, it is a bit nontraditional and therefore interesting to many liberals. But please, continue to be an ass.

I think it is a valid issue. Many moderate republicans (let alone far end folks), are under the impression that crazy liberals, led by Obama, want to restrict 2nd amendment rights.

News articles, gun sales, and discussions with my favorite Republicans give evidence that this is a very real fear for a lot of people.

I think that it's good communication for Obama supporters who are strong 2nd amendment supporters help alleviate that fear by communicating their personal stance on the issue.

I know a number of Republicans (regrettably) and It's simply amazing the amount of B.S. they're willing to believe (or rather are fearful of). Their's is a pretty long list that requires a bit of myth busting. I just find it amazing that they're all culpable in spreading the fear amongst themselves while no real threat to their lives or livelihoods exists or has even had a chance to manifest.

shocked Could you imagine the conviction rate if these people were the only ones on juries? You wouldn't even need a prosecution.

I think the other thread was actually a counterpoint to a ridiculous thread wherein it was suggested that gun owners would have no place being employed by the Obama administration.

I certainly could be wrong in that, however.

Yeah, that's definitely what I understood as well. I don't really understand why this thread was started if the original poster feels that this is an irrelevant non-issue other than to be obnoxious.

Yeah, a better thread would be vehemently Anti-Gun people who voted for McCain.
