I am a republican, the only thing I don't like about the republican party is that they are gonna try and take away our porn eventually, other than that they are in line with all my political views. Democrats juts want all your money to fill their tax coffers tongue

Well, I'm not American. And our big right-wing parties are more "lefties" than your "Democrats".
I can understand conservatism, capitalism, rightwing liberalism... but I simply don't understand the Republican way. Never have.
So no, I don't understand how anyone could ever vote for the Bushbaby.

I am a Republican and have been since I was 18(I am 33 now). I consider myself a more liberial one though compared to most. I believe in gun rights, small government, right to abortion, and the elimination of our welfare programs - a hand up not a hant out.

I voted for Bush and might do it again if the Democrates dont figure something out. None of them has singled themselves out in my opinion. I voted for Clinton in 1996 and (everyone please forgive me)Perot in 1992.

I take everything into consideration and decide who is better for me and the country at that time(in my opinion that is).

I do not think Bush has done a bad job as President. Like his father I think he became President at a very unfortunate time. Bush Sr had the whole S&L shit happen and Jr had the Enron (and that accounting company who's name I cannot remember). A lot of people lost faith in big business. Both of these fucked up our economy and both Presidents recieved the blame for the economy failing. Was it Bush's falt that the Dow Jones fell 685 points the day the market reopened? No it wasnt.

I'm not a republican.

I'm registered as a democrat, but I no longer know what that means.

I can't believe anyone who wants to be a politician - and that, unfortunately, is the first criteria for being one. On a case by case basis I watch the liar meter and am embarassed to say that all current candidates are so off the scale that I need to reevaluate the scale. My concern is for the future of this nation - for the children I don't have - and noone is out there representing them.

We cry foul at the republicans for supporting big business while democrats do the same thing - just under a different flag. Then we point at the democrats saying that they are creating larger bureaucracy whicle the republicans do the same thing. In truth - this two party system is a three-card monte game with one card missing. We have a red ace and a black ace - and, while we may be only looking for one or the other - we always end up with an ace... which one you pick is your choice - I just wanna change the game.

The only problem with not accepting the blame for the dow fall is, he'll take credit if it goes up (whether it's his doing or in spite of him).

Ive mostly voted democratic in th past, but the democrats now are boring me to death with their incessant whining about the war and some other shit. they all went along with it so they have to have the kahonas to finish it right so we don't end up there again. and quit bitching about tax cuts and learn to manage the government correctly. anyone whose ever watched anything from city council meeting to a senate debate know what these people do with YOUR money: very little. you could prably make the world a little better place on your spending your money at your own discretion. i'd be a republican if they'd chill with all that social-moral shit and also give a little bit of a damn more about the environment.

I wonder if your employment status has any effect on your choice?

I'm unemployed and pretty much have been since Oct 02.

I'm a democrat and with Bush in I only see myself staying unemployed or reaching for a job that barely fills the $$$ void.

Sure I'm in a union, but before that I never realized how little money I made just to survive.

As a union worker (the union is corrupt but,) I have someone helping me learn a trade and get a livable wage (when I did work).

the non union guys earn about half or less than us union workers.

so my opinion might be a little more lenient if i was working but, still a democrat.

Yes, ha ha! Bush wants to keep you unemployed! Everyone knows low employment rate is good for re-elections! Unions are all about maintaining the status quo to a fault. It's a strike-enforced form of communism.

Unions have never gone with a conservative ticket. Hmmm, unions are fucking communists, unions hate Bush,,,,, I think we're onto something here...

I'd agree with you on some points. but unfortunately unions are only really strong in northern cal. and New England. Otherwise I really think they don't have the pull some believe. And in ohio and other midwestern/central states unions actually support Republicans.

Bush wants people to work for a lower wage thus putting more money in the pockets of the businesses.

People need a living wage! not a minimum wage job, those jobs that Bush 'creates' aren't living wage jobs.

happy holidays to all! Reps, Demos, indies, a libs! smile

both parties lack the altruistic virtues they espouse...i do not care to associate myself with either party but would rather educate myself on the issues and vote then...i would also prefer to form my own opinion rather than having it given to me by usa today or a sound bite from cnn.
