Looks like it. Here's the original.

I think maybe the guy outside on the intercom is different, but that seems to be it.

I thought that the part Cindy gets revenue from isn't owned by the Belgian company that bought up Annheiser earlier this year. Not totally sure.

Just to clarify: the company that made the original ad is Anheuser-Busch. This ad is not.

Clarification of the clarification: Although the ad was made for Budweiser, the concept was not Anheuser-Busch's.

The commercials were based on a short film, entitled "True", written and directed by Charles Stone III, that featured Stone and several of his childhood friends - Fred Thomas, Paul Williams, Terry Williams, and Kevin Lofton. The characters sat around talking on the phone and saying "Whassup!" to one another in a comical way. The short was popular at a number of film festivals around the country and eventually caught the attention of Vinny Warren, a creative director at the Chicago based ad agency DDB, who took the idea to August A. Busch IV, vice president of Anheuser-Busch, and signed Stone to direct Budweiser TV commercials based on the film.

True.

True.

i find the end of the article amusing:
"The film ends with a call for political change and an exhortation to vote for Barack Obama on election day. It states in closing that it does not reflect the views of Anheuser-Busch Companies."

...ya think?
