Bush's 20% approval rate has to come from somewhere. Looks like we've found the rock they were hiding under.

I'm going to go out and say about 60% of all voters are dumb.
There are way too many uninformed voters out there who are so one sided that can't walk without tipping over.

Ooh.

I was all set to agree. There are idiots on both sides. But then you tried to make your case with a "Fox News" clip. Unfortunately, "Fox News" is the opposite of everything that embodies logic and reason. Therefor and from now on, the only logic statement about the subject can only be BARACK OBAMA AND HIS SUPPORTERS ARE THE SMARTEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.

There's low information voters on any side of any issue. What's interesting, however, is that the Fox video you posted came from February 5th, right at the start of the primary campaign, before voters had a chance to hear the candidates spend months talking about their record and what they plan to do.

The other difference here is that the Obama supporters were calm and polite, while the McCain/Palin supporters were one screw loose away from being an angry mob with pitchforks and torches.

Well gosh, wonder why they're so upset!?

McCain and Palin are now running the most divisive, dangerous and despicable campaign in modern times. They are inciting ignorance and hate and doing so with glee. Someone shouts "KILL HIM!" and no one bats an eyelash or says a word. Unbelievable.

This type of thing is absolutely, 100%, indefensible. They are acting completely dishonorably, and they should be ashamed of themselves.

The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.

Exactly. If Obama happened to be talking about Bush's policies and somebody in the crowd screamed out "KILL HIM", the right-wing would be losing their minds over it.

But no, Obama acts like a responsible politician and gets labeled a "terrorist".

McCain and Palin let outright racist slander and threats go unchecked at their rallies about a United States Senator.

I don't think this tactic is working for them though.

Obama's campaign has removed the last scraps of dignity from the american election system.

He's taken the perception that our presidential race is nothing more than a glorified prom queen election and blown it to mythical proportions. He's a candidate who runs on absolutely no substance at all, nothing but image.

It's a sad, sad, SAD day for american politics when we care more about how charismatic a candidate is than what his actual plans for the future are.

And McCain isn't any better. He isn't helping the situation at all. All he does is stand there and wait for votes to be taken away from him. He offers nothing except for the hollow reassurance of consistency. A vote for Obama is a vote for the unknown, a vote for McCain is a vote for the same, but at least we know what the same is. " Change could be better, but it could be worse. Why risk? " That's the McCain doctrine.

I hope you all join me in November with a write in vote for "none of the above."zoom image

I stopped reading your post to check the link, and you said exactly what I was thinking when you called it dishonorable.

McCain claims to be an honorable and forthright former soldier (POW! BOX!) and this entire campaign has been anything but. The man should be ashamed of himself.
