Hi all -- I thought this board might get a kick out of the Quicktime animations of a couple guys I know, Jason Archer and Paul Beck. They were a couple of guys on the animation team for the film Waking Life, and you can see it in their work if you know the film:
These two guys (well, put together) are about as dangerous to the Powers That Be as Moliere was, IMO. They remind me of why, in the olde days, the first guy the King always wanted to kill was the cartoonist. The last movie isn't political, it's a David Byrne video they animated, for which they were nominated for a Grammy this year. Cool stuff.

but the rest of it is, uh, yeah, a letdown. I don't see the Moliere comparison as fair.
There are two types of political satirists: ones that have a goal, and ones that mock anything they strikes them as funny. The latter ones are generally more successful as comedians at being amusing, and the former usually don't change people's opinions anyways.
