Eh. Despite all the hype, basically it rained for an hour. The hassle is mostly that it never rains here so the ground is baked and doesn't absorb water. If the same theing had happened enywhere else no one would have blinked.

Southern Cali (at least where I live) is so ill-equipt for ANY sort of weather that isn't sunny and 70 degrees....We don't even have drains in the street here for rain.

And people wonder why my town floods whenever it rains...

Yeah, but it's ok...we only have to deal with inclement weather for like 3 hours out of the year. I wish people would learn how to drive in the rain though...

It doesn't help much that when it does rain half the people can't figure out how to drive in it either. Not insulting anyone in particular. I lived in San diego and LA for 18 years and swear that has to be the worst place to drive when it rains.

Ever notice it always goes fire, rain, mudslide. Let's hope the rain portion stays low this year.

They had several inches of hail in Watts. The newscasters called it Hail, Snow and Ice. They don't even know the difference between the 3. It was fun to watch the kids on the news sledding down hills of hail.
