Dictionary publisher Merriam-Webster has hit a McSore Spot with McDonald's over the inclusion of the word "McJob" in its latest Collegiate Dictionary.

The latest edition of the dictionary defines "McJob" as "a low paying job that requires little skill and provides little opportunity for advancement."

Just wanted to share.

You know what hits a McFuckingSore spot with McMe?

It's the fact that every dumbass "word" made up by some random douchebag ends up in the freaking dictionary, thus making proper language/grammar knowledge totally obsolete, and completely diluting the useful vocabulary. Why "McJob?" What was wrong with "shitty job?" Stupid fucking lazy speakers.

I just hate the fact that stupid words like holla and shit will be legitimate scrabble points now.

and McJob shouldn't even be in the dictionary...I don't know anyone who uses that term.

Okay, "shit" has always been legitimate Scrabble fodder (try watching a professional Scrabble tournament, when you REALLY have nothing better to do), but "holla?"?!?!?!?!?! Fuck a whole big bunch of that.

I thought McJob was kinda clever. Some folks get offended when you use words like shitty, and you need a way to express your contempt for your job to those people, too. Maybe not dictionary material, but hey. That said, there's probably worse things in the dictionary. Like blingbling. What was wrong with "godawful jewelry"?

The definition "is not only an inaccurate description of restaurant employment, it's also a slap in the face to the 12 million men and women who work hard every day in America's 900,000 restaurants," Cantalupo said.

I'm sure they're all thrilled with their jobs.

More than 1,000 people who own McDonald's restaurants got their training serving customers behind the counter, he said, taking issue with the notion that work in the fast-food outlets is a dead-end job.

So, 1000 people out of 12 million actually went places with their McJob. That's 0.000083% How can you argue with that kind of advancement opportunity?

"In fact, McDonald's trains more young people than America's armed forces," Cantalupo said.

Ugh. I pray for the future of America's youth.

He also said the company has a trademark on the word "McJOBS," which refers to its program for training and placing people with disabilities.

HAHAHAHAHA!

Oh, goodness. That only compounds the humor.

Did you know that Shakespeare invented over 200 words? Do you think people were saying things like "what be thine word Excellent? Forsooth, it meaneth nothing"? People like Snoop Dogg are pushing brave new frontiers in language. Plus, its great to see a grown man talking like a three year-old, fo' shizzle.
