A GOLD Coast teenager who wore a T-shirt by English extreme metal band Cradle of Filth that reads 'Jesus is a cunt' has been charged with offensive behaviour.

Above the offensive slogan a nun is depicted masturbating.

What a bunch of loons. I see shirts far more offensive than that, where I live, and I live in the heart of Southern Baptist land. No one gets arrested for them, though.

Gold Coast lawyer Bill Potts said the arrest highlighted Australia's need for a Bill of Rights.

"One of the great problems with our country is that we talk about rights such as privacy and freedom of speech and the like but they are not enshrined or protected in any way as they are in America," he said.

"While there are always limits on freedom of speech, you can't incite violence or anything like that, it seems to be now more than ever that our rights to freedom of speech and freedom of expression should be protected.

"A Bill of Rights which enshrines that protection is long overdue in this country."

Not the first time that shirt's caused an uproar. I remember reading something similar a decade ago, only it took place in England, not Australia.

I thought Cradle of Filth was laughed out of existence many years ago. Shows how much I keep up on "extreme" metal.

Personally, I'm offended that the shirt doesn't say "Jesus Was A Cunt".

Being all scary and black metally doesn't allow you to ignore verb tenses, people!

Really? Far more than a nun masturbating with the words "Jesus is a Cunt"? Doubtful.

Please describe.

If I remember correctly, she's masturbating with a crucifix.

If you're not religious it's not all that offensive I don't find.

I'm not saying it's offensive to me, I'm just doubting that this guy sees many shirts that are "far more" offensive.

Marduk's "Fuck me, Jesus" shirt where a nude lady is anally masturbating with a crucifix, feet first. I see that one a lot. I also see a lot of stuff off of Tshirt Hell. But, by far the most offensive shirt I've seen is, "Save people from the Islam," published by a local church.

I know a guy who wears that shirt all the time. Ironically, "Jesus" is his nickname(due to physical resemblance).
