This is the same county where teenage girls, on a "scared straight" tour of the prison, were stripped searched.

Yes. But then I can't watch them, because of the crapness of my broadband. So I'd prefer people stayed with the link method, personally.

Also, holy crap... frown

I hope she wins her lawsuit and enough money to really embarrass whoever is supposed to be responsible for policing there.

I'm confused. How are Youtube videos on Youtube different from embedded ones?

there is something incredibly fucked up going on in Stark County. five different women and three minors with stories of humiliation involving strip searches?

Oh, my God. That was one of the most upsetting things I've seen in ages. "Not for the faint of heart" is right.

And she was the one who initially called police for help? Bet she never does that again.

How was that video not presented at trial? That's absolutely horrifying. And the fact that it seems nothing is going to happen to these cops or to that department here is more enraging than I can express.

This is completely fucking sick and disgusting. Watching the male officers be present and holding her down during the strip search is illegal and enrages me, but of course why would they be indicted? it seems like police can do anything these days including firing 50 bullets into an unarmed person. This makes me so angry.

I read this in another thread. But I think this kind of thing should be mentioned as often as possible.

Don't worry, someone will be along soon enough to tell you that Ohio doesn't suck.

To be fair, this type of thing happens everywhere. LAPD has had how many corruption and police brutality scandals?

I couldn't tell from the clips if the lady (victim) had been officially arrested or was merely being detained when this happened. It's awful.

Something like this begins to happen to you, determine if they're arresting you or detaining you. If they're merely detaining you tell them you want to be released and that if you're going to be booked you want an attorney immediately. Never give up incriminating info if you're being detained. You have few to zero protections and the stuff will only be used against you. Your Miranda rights don't kick in for certain until an arrest is made. I'm not sure what the policies are related to strip searches, you may not have a choice. But, if it's unreasonable in relation to what you%u2019re suspected of, and you get your protests on record, it will strengthen your case when you sue their asses. What a mess this situation turned out to be.

oh i don't argue that, just seems like every week it's something new with some law enforcement agency in Ohio:

In my hometown:

Parma police sex scandal

Cleveland Police excessive force

Sad incident in Lima

Tazer incident in Warren

Suspected Columbus cops

Not to mention things like:

Ohio's attorney general

and the big one that really bothers me:

Bobbie Lee Cutys Jr.

I know we aren't the only state that deals with this, it just really seems that whenever you turn the news on, you just keep hearing about things like this, it sincerely makes you wonder who is protecting us.

Our state government keeps dumping a lot of money to get people to visit here, and our local crime rates just keep going up and up. Then you hear things about cops being involved in the crimes and it's just a total buzz kill.
