I just saw this on MSNBC, its terribly sad. That poor man. My thoughts go out to his family right now; he was on in a million.

I learned so much from watching Meet the Press. This is really upsetting.

This is horrible. I loved Tim. I watched Meet The Press and his interview show on MSNBC every weekend.

Truly sad. One of the last journalists left. Now it's all pundits.

He was one of the last straight TV analysts/journalists. Nowadays, more often than not, when you see "political analyst" under someone's name, it usually means that they're nothing more than a mouthpiece for one side or the other. I mean, Karl Rove is a political analyst on Fox News now. That's where we're at, and it's a shame.

This is seriously a huge loss, he was one of the few journalists on television that would still give tough unbiased well thought out interviews.

Condolences to his family, especially his father, nobody should have to outlive their kids.

From what I hear, he died in the studio doing voice-overs. That guy was dedicated, I tells ya.

This is a terrible shame.

I'm very sad, and watching Chuck Todd and Andrea Mitchell be sad is making me sad for them too.

I guess I'm the only one who thought he was not so good at his job. His treatment of Hillary Clinton was terrible. His absurd favoring of some candidates over others was far from what a great journalist would do.

That being said, huge bummer.

I'm sure you're not the only one who thinks that, but you are one of the few people who would think to bring it up so soon after his death.

Right. Because you should always lie when someone dies. It's the respectable thing to do. Always be a coward.
