I don't fill up anymore, it hurts too badly. I stop at $30, which gives me little more than half a tank in my Chevy Cobalt.

I forget, but it was $4.29/gallon. I think it wound up being around $40.

At the rate the prices are rising, filling up will probably save you money.

About $47 at $4.40 a gallon. And that's the cheap stuff around here. I can't believe that the next time I fill up, it's probably going to cost me fifty bucks to fill the tank on a Civic.

When I bought my ex-highway patrol Chevy Caprice in 1999, it cost $26.00 to fill it from empty. At the price I paid yesterday, it would be $96.00 . That car has been in mothballed storage for three years now and gets driven twice a year.

Gas is $5.60 here but today was the first time in a few weeks that I really drove my car. But I had to loan my car to my mom when hers was in the shop so she filled it up so I am not sure what the end amount will be (guessing 50-60) luckily Saturns get good gas mileage. Bad News is that I live in a small dead in town (no sewer so they can't build any thing new) so to go to a actual town (San Luis Obispo) is around a 10-20 min drive.

I cap my gas purchases at $28. On my Buick, that gets me about 3/4 full to completely full depending on how much driving I did the week before.

The Suburban (in the US); 33 gallons at $4.18 = $138.23

The Jag i(in the UK) roughly 19 gallons at approximately $9.40 = $178.60
(these are estimates as I translate liters to gallons and punds to dollars)

Note:both vehicles take premium octane and the last purchase I made for the Jag took place in London where prices are higher.

About $40 for 13 gallons... although I use that much about every 2.5-3 weeks. Even before the shit hit the fan I walked/biked when I could. Granted I am fortunate to be able to do so, and not everyone can.
