Georgie has made his second request to the Saudis asking for increased oil production. This time he asked in person and was denied again. However, the Saudis helped limit the lose of face by Bush by "by announcing they had decided a week ago on a modest increase of 300,000 barrels a day. (source)"

But Mr. Bush's request _ his second in five months _ coupled with rising anti-Saudi sentiment in the Democratic-led Congress, underscored the growing tensions between the two countries over oil.

The Saudi oil minister, Ali al-Naimi, told reporters that the kingdom had decided on May 10 to increase production, not in response to Mr. Bush but because customers, mostly in the United States, had asked for it. He said that over the last few months, as supplies from other countries had declined, the Saudis had filled in the gap.

"When supplies from Venezuela and Mexico were reduced to the U.S., who supplied the difference?" Mr. Naimi said. "We supplied, to the tune of an additional 300,000 barrels per day _ from 1.4 to 1.7 million barrels per day _ for our customers in the U.S. So how much more can we do?"

Is that anyway for buddies to treat each other? I mean just look at House of Bush, House of Saud: The Secret Relationship Between the World's Two Most Powerful Dynasties by Craig Unger

How bas could it really be - headlines from around the world
"Bush gets oil but no credit for jawboning Saudis" - Reuters
"Bush seeks more oil as Saudis say output is enough" - Agence France-Presse (AFP)
" Oil leaps after Bush's Saudi trip" - Telegraph
"Bush presses Riyadh on oil but no concrete promises secured" - China View
"Saudis See No Reason to Raise Oil Production Now" - Asharq Al-Awsat

Hereafter Bush failures will be known as a Fucked Bush.

To be fare I will not post a picture of Nelson Muntz and his catch-phrase.

I made as few typos in my article, thanks RudieCantFail.
The line "How bas could it really be - headlines from around the world" should have read "How bad could it really be - headlines from around the world" - I plead fat fingers, the "S" and "D" are next to each other.

I have no excuse for spelling FAIR as FARE in the last line - pure sloppiness on my part. I shall write each a 1000 times blush (We really need an "I was an idiot" emocon)

Thanks again RudieCantFail.
