Stingrays really are assholes

Stingray jumps out of water, kills woman.

I have heard of the pinfish here doing that too. If you are toolin along at even 30-40 mph out there and an animal of any kind jumps out of the water and hits you, it's going to be an asshole about it. The water is shallow and there's lots of stuff to scare down there.

Sad for that poor woman though. Who the hell expects that ?
