He just got elected to his eleventh Congressional term. He beat his opponent by a whopping 40% margin.

He did not win his eleventh term - that election will be in November - he won the Republican primary. This information was in the first sentence of your linked story. Did you read it?

Shhhhh . . . you'll wake him from his blissful delusions.

Wouldn't it be funny as hell if he lost his seat in November? *crosses fingers and dances the lucky dance*

There is no democrat nor a third party candidate even running. That primary essentially was the general election for the seat.

Awesome. Now he can go back to getting absolutely nothing done while the taxpayers pay his salary.

You have to be more specific, you could be talking about Dennis Kucinich here too.

No, Denny The K has gotten next to nothing done:

Statistics: Dennis Kucinich has sponsored 103 bills since Jan 7, 1997, of which 94 haven't made it out of committee (Average) and 1 were successfully enacted (Average, relative to peers).

Ron Paul has literally gotten nothing accomplished in Congress for the past 11 years:

Statistics: Ronald Paul has sponsored 352 bills since Jan 7, 1997, of which 347 haven't made it out of committee (Extremely Poor) and 0 were successfully enacted (Average, relative to peers).

Yeah, the two Congressmen, each from different approaches and vantage points, refusing to feed the morphing government/business mergers get shut down by their Congressional peers who are wedded to the interests of one or both, while simultaneously gathering consolidated corporate media ridicule.

And this is supposed to be cool and awesome or something? whatever

I'm not the one touting complete job incompetence as a selling point, Ron Paul is.

To whom? The only person who ran for the seat against him was in his own party and got beaten decisively.

The election for that seat is over.

I am not even saying this to be snarky, I am legitimately curious - does anyone know how to read for comprehension anymore? fuck.

Well, there could very easily be an independant candidate. November is a long time from now, damn near anything could happen.

Is a bit ironic that you're against the idea of a dark horse candidate coming in and beating the established politician.

I picture them all sticking their fingers in their ears going "LALALAI'MNOTLISTENING" while spouting off the various "virtues" of Ron Paul.

and how is this different then the Obama supporters mindlessly chanting "Yes we can" or "Change, hope" or the Hillary supporters chanting "Yes we will". There are blindless people in any of the presidential supporter camps but its not fair to label them all based on the fringe members.

Unless, in the case of Ron Paul, most of his supporters WERE fringe members. There was alot of fringe. Like a 1970's leather jacket.

i meant, don't judge all of us Ron Paul supporters by a few crazy girls on youtube just like i don't judge all Obama supporters by Obama Girl (who didn't vote) or the people fainting at his rallys.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm forming my opinion of Ron Paul supporters entirely from those posting on this website.

Which is to say "fringe" is a little too kind a word.

Cool I wish them much luck.

From first glance they look like non-serious candidates. They don't even have websites, campaign offices, or even an address or phone number where one can donate.

The Mendoza guy ran for Congress once before - and his first check bounced, ending his campaign at the time of filing. The other guy teaches at a rural community college. Ron Paul is a ten time incumbent who generally wins with 60 to 70 percent endorsement within his district.

...But hey, you never know. whatever
