About time, John. You gave it a good run. Now endorse Obama and let's get on with this thing.

Not only did Giuliani lose, but he also killed his career. Nice going.

Here here. The haircut finally does something for the PEOPLE.

He better endorse Barack...

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
even tho NV caucas precinct captains are reporting via Dailykos that Edwards supporters tended to be old, conservative white males who rebelled against the local john edwards camp who told them to endorse Barack if Edwards did not make it.... and walked out of the caucas instead. closet sexist/racists may turn toward McCain...

but let's not overthink it yet... surreal

I give him six months at the most before he has a regular paying gig at Fox News.

His career as a security consultant and public speaker is based on a series of (alleged) successes and his own ego. Both are in ruins after this defeat. He wouldn't have even won in New York, which is really why he dropped out now. If he went through with a losing campaign in the very state that he is a supposed hero in, he'd be ruined. Both his political career and his private career are a mess right now.

he gave it a good shot. oh well. he'll move on.

He didn't give it a good shot. His own ego and hubris put him on a path where, as usual, he thought he knew better than anyone else. He refused to see that his plan was destined for failure, even when the writing was on the wall. If he had, in fact, given it an even half-assed shot, he'd still be in the running.

Perhaps, but even that is a step down from what he had been making as a consultant and a public speaker.

I'm going to go ahead and point out the should've-been-obvious thing here, that being that a Fox News job doesn't really count as a great career move for someone with, you know, viable career options, a recent record of integrity-based success, or even strength of character. Which is why I think he'll take it.

GREED was his downfall, as I bet he'd have had a shot at GOVERNOR.. but no, he wanted to go all the way...

Oh fuck John Edwards.

I heard he is not endorsing ANYONE.

He will complain abt how no one paid attention to HIM, he will say he will continue to lean on both to address poverty and not sling mud.

He is such a bitter little HAIRCUT!

I'm guessing it'll be a radio job. He's not ready for high definition television.

I'm sorry to see Edwards go. He continually injected discussion into the election of a great deal of substantive topics that were going otherwise unaddressed, and even as an Obama supporter I never bought into the claims that he was merely a spoiler in this race; the jury's still out, but I suspect that in the end Edwards drew support from relatively similar numbers of Clinton and Obama people.

I would love to see him and/or Richardson endorse before Super Tuesday, but we'll see. The scuttlebutt, for whatever it's worth, is that Obama may be considering Edwards for an Attorney General spot should he get the nomination, so a deal for a visible endorsement may be in the works between the camps.

He was a very highly paid security consultant and public speaker. That's done now.
