I'd like a representative who will enforce laws against corporate malfeasance without instituting socialism or fascism. I'm talking about jail terms, not fines.

I'd like a representative who will not reward people for having children. I don't want to punish them, though. How about allowing sex education and condoms to reduce the demand for abortions, while you're at it?

I'd like a representative who understands that government hardly ever does anything well, and points out the overwhelming evidence for that, refusing to even attempt to fix problems they can never fix. May I suggest ending the war on drugs for a very tiny start?

I'd like a representative whose foreign policy doesn't use quick fixes that create even bigger problems long after they leave office.

It took me quite a while to learn that sometimes I just have to let someone else be wrong, even to let them fail and recover all on their own. I'd like a representative who has figured that out.

Perhaps we get the candidates we deserve, but if you don't ask you don't get, right?

I bet I could hug him to make him happy. I'm pretty good with cats. I am filled with magic.

If there is one thing that can complete that picture, it's a mustache.

But it's evil magic. Your dirty red commie magic would probably send him to siberia. My good blue capitalist magic would send him to a factory to be a model citizen who eats red meat works 20 hours a day and fears god and homos.

Lenin himself had a cat. Did Maggie Thatcher? Mussolini? I think not.
