um, why is everyone purposefully misinterpretting the "ugly american" comment?

it did & doesn't say "all americans are at fault for this", it states that this ugly happening helps promote the "ugly american" stereotype... a stereotype that does exist & a lot of americans help promote & this *does* give a huge, nasty example for people to point at.

whether or not the stereotype is accurate of all americans isn't up for discussion -stereotypes by their exact nature or broad generalizations based on limited data (primarily extreme or cornball, since those stand out). we all know this. doesn't mean that this (both extreme AND cornball) example isn't going to give that stereotype a skyrocket in usage.


aside from that, gotta give mattthegoon a big slap on the back. well put.

these morons need removed from the military & from normal life as well. lock 'em up & fuck over their record!

I enjoy cows. Cows are nice peaceful animals who never did any harm to anybody. Did you know that the cows in france have cute little cow eyelashes??
I think the french stick them on so that their cows are cuter than ours.
I'll bet those vicious troops of ours would gun down those adorable little cows and leave their little cow carcasses to rot in the fields.
