When i originally saw the story on TV and saw this normal looking girl with a lip ring right away got worried that it could be one of us - altough now i know it isn't.
Sort of frustrates me that there aren't more details to this story. Even thogh they don't believe that her disappearance (now murder?) has anything to do with her porn career, It just seems like ths story should hit close to home for us Suicidegirls.
Truthfully i haven't looked any more into it yet...
Anyone have more info? Thoughts?
It's really sad because the media fails to give anyone details in cases such as this one, or to make it seem like too big of a deal because of course we're the minority; the "bad" people who are always putting ourselves in danger, of course they assume than none of us are safe and practical and don't run off with strangers half-naked- you can liberate yourself without being stupid, and thats what makes this such a great community, but not everyone understands that.
It's especially sad because her disappearance didn't have anything to do with her porn career- because of course they wouldn't tell us about her banking career or her retail career or her photography career, but since shes a porn star it's important. I will admit that being a porn star is probably a little riskier than those careers, but it just frustrates me when the media can give such beautiful, liberated, powerful women such bad name.
She's from el dorado, kansas, I believe.
You know, I've read the story, and it doesn't strike me as obvious that her dissapearance/death has nothing to do with her porn career - which is one of the reasons I was asking for more info. But it is so sad that that this is all of the attention this story is worth to the mainstream media.
i mean, even on the porn site that supports her gives it more attention - although no one can really tell if their additional details are true... What are the chances, right?
PS. I just looked at the second link i gave in the OP and originally when I looked at it there were all the free porn lnks on the side bar... not sure why it's different now.
