these companies still test on animals... i didnt know a lot of them, and now that i do i wont continue to purchase their products. Its your choice obviously, but at least you'll be making an informed decision... Also, the list does not include companies that are required by law to test on animals, for things such as pharmacudicals. This is a list of makeup, beauty, home products, etc.

Um. Without intent of disrespect to the topic at hand, one of those is a pet care product. If not animals, what should those be tested on?

I'm ambivalent on animal testing for medical purposes.

But for cosmetics? I agree that it's a barbaric practice. Thanks for putting the word out.

and the real shocker for me was cleaning products like clorox! ouch!

Generally there's already enough research available, or ingredients already known to be safe, so there's no need to do any testing at all. Often companies will do unnecessary testing just so they can make extraordinary advertising claims about health benefits or flavor.

Animal testing isn't so much "Hey, let's see which flavor these dogs prefer" as "Hey, let's forcefeed these dogs mass quantities of this cheaper artificial ingredient for their entire miserable six month existence, then bleed them out and disect them to see what it does to their organs."
