Remember Dr. David Kelly? He was the UK bio-weapon expert who leaked (or blew the whistle on) Tony Blair's government "sexing-up" of evidence supporting the invasion of Iraq. He had difficulty with the media frenzy after his name was revealed, and killed himself before officially testifying. Or so we thought.

An independent inquiry into the evidence discovered that the police couldn't find fingerprints on the dull garden knife used to cut his wrists, and no gloves were found on or near his body. And there's more.

(thanks to Jim at Gonzo Science for finding this)

Ah, just a note: the Daily Mail is not a reputable source of news.

TBH, I see no gain for anyone in government to kill him. Everyone knew he was not happy with the evidence, well before his death.

Oh snap...

The BBC were more reserved, but that story comes from February. We'll see.

I hope we will. I think the BBC article (and the coroner) missed out some reasonable inferences, though; for instance, maybe he took painkillers because he knew he was going to hurt himself. I think that would be a reasonable guess; though it is of course a guess.
