Representative James E. Clyburn of South Carolina, the Democratic whip, parodied what the president has said about the campaign against terrorism. Youre either for American children or youre not, Mr. Clyburn said. Its just that simple.
No, it is not, said Representative Greg Walden, Republican of Oregon. He said he wonders if the government could pay for the S-chip program as embodied in the bill. I spent 21 years in small business, he said. I never signed a contract I couldnt keep my word on.
It freaks me out a lot that major decisions in this country of over 300 million people comes down to 14 people. I know it's not that simple, but it's still a really spooky thought.
Just for fun, that's 0.00000465% of the population. Yay democracy!
Bitch_PhD hopes people remember this shit come election time.
They won't. I'm guessing come election time it'll be terrorists, terrorists, immigrants, queers, terrorists. You know... same as every election.
don't forget the giant novelty check for more tax breaks that they'll wave under the noses of their constituents and the 527 ads warning UPN (or whatever they are called now that they merged with WB) viewers that the democrats will outlaw the bible, paper money and vehicles older than ten years old.
Now that the political posturing (which is all this really was) is over, let's see if the politicians can work out a sensible compromise. I'm not counting on it.

So he likes lower taxes with lower/higher spending than you like in certain areas?
I... don't get it.
He said he never "signed a contract he couldn't keep his word on" but has consistently voted to expand programs and reduce taxes.
In short he is full of shit.
So you get that?
I always thought the first rule of business is to make more than you spend. And if you are temporarily spending more than you make, it had better be that deficit should be facilitating making more money in the future.
So what im saying is that if he lasted 20 years in small business, he must have plowed through a large fortune.

Voted YES on establishing nationwide AMBER alert system for missing kids
Is that a bad thing?
I'm sure it was just included for the purpose of full disclosure. It would be a misrepresentation of him, if she didn't portray his voting record accurately. I hope you didn't do that Bitch PhD.
As per the article, I'm obviously ashamed of my Congress for not passing this piece of legislation. Well, to be fair, for not being able to override the veto. Kucinich better have voted for it this time around or I'm going to lose all respect for the guy.
No more taxes we can't pay for wake up I don't have heath care why? Because I make to much for the state heath care and the out of control health care costs my employer can't provide it. Those out of control rising cost of health care and more taxes t will never be enough. We pay all the taxes we can now. What's next all our money goes to taxes and we end up on welfare. Get real people
Speak for yourself, my employer doesn't offer any group wake up plan. It comes out of my pocket and I can tell you that I just cannot afford wake up premiums.
