I always thought Stewart/Colbert refrained from a presidential bid because it would cannibalize the democratic vote just enough to give the repubicans an edge

Well, and because why would two comedians genuinely want to be President? They're on top of the world now with one/one millionth of the pressure. Besides, one could argue that a Republican administration is better for them because it gives them more material.

It's all a moot point anyway, because Colbert is running only in South Carolina and as both a Democrat and a Republican. Not sure how that will work out, but I'm not one to question the man.

Plus, I think he's only running in the primary or primaries (probably only as a write-in candidate), so it's not like he's going to tip the balance of anything, other than perhaps Hungarian bridge naming contests.

He sits outside your window while you are asleep and watches. We don't know why. We don't want to know why. We're all very happy he picked your window and not ours.

I think H.P. Lovecraft should have written about the Burger King; a better avatar of unknown cosmic evil I have never found!
