That can't count. That only aired, like, three-quarters of an episode before it got canned.

By the way, just for the record, I did google "Vigilant Shield."

The annual homeland defense Vigilant Shield exercise, sponsored by the North American Aerospace Defense Command, U.S. Northern Command and U.S. Strategic Command, tests the synchronization of the three commands in responding to complex scenarios that challenge the homeland defense matrix in the U.S. and Canada.

Yay, an annual military exercise - or so they want us to think!?!

This reminds me of the outcry over the DHS drill in Oregon earlier this year and how all the conspiracy nuts up there were convinced that it had some larger meaning and the feds were going to storm the state or some nonsense like that.

Nothing happened then, either.

Whatever.

Or that Executive Order that declared dictatorship back in March or whenever.

It's nonsense like this that gives us responsible anarcho-syndicalists a bad name.

I'd mention Zeitgeist or Loose Change and maybe a "ZOMG!!", at an attempt to be funny, but at this point, I think it's just getting cliché.

You know I was just thinking about that today. How all these people were saying Bush was going to declare a national emergency become a dictator and rule forever. It's funny because in a meeting he had, I don't know if it was today or recently, someone asked Bush if he would run again if he could, and he said absolutely not, he's done, plus Mrs. Bush would kick his ass. So much for conspiracy theories...

If I was W, and I wanted to drum up "homeland" support by a faked "terrorist" attack, I wouldn't go after any libruls. It'd be all red states. Then I could make snide remarks about how "the enemies of our nation" had spared their "friends".

Just saying.
