Something pretty damned scary is happening in the forests of Texas. An Integrated community consisting of hundreds, if not thousands of spiders from dozens of different families are working together to construct The Largest Spiderweb Ever!
This is a mind-blowing miracle of nature because these spiders have no history of ever cooperating towards a common goal. Hell, most spiders are cannibalistic so unless their looking to get it on they stay far the away from one another. But in this case they've worked together to create web approximately the size of a cubic football field not once, but 3 times, and they're are currently working on their fourth attempt.
The reason for this fourth attempt is that our dear friend mother nature is coming to our aid and knocking down this 8-Legged Freaks' inspired monstrosity to keep the spiders aware of their proper place: Under Our Heels!(told you she wasn't still pissed about that whole global warming spat)
Now the apparent motive of the spiders craft, according to biologists, is to create a large net that can more efficiently catch food for the greater benefit of all the spiders. So far the spiders are doing all they can to make this seem to be the case, ensnaring millions upon millions of Mosquito's, Their maddening hum as they fight for dear life heard echoing through the forest.
But We know their true goal. To capture a human and drink our delicious brain juices, Thus furthering their plans for world domination.

*A lot of the information I use came from the front page of my Local NJ Star-Ledger, but they have made it difficult to link to online.

Drakyn Would like to let everyone know that this Italics thing is awesome, and probably undeserved

I hate spiders but if it helps keep the mosquito population or flies in check I'm all for cooperation.

Spiders aren't so bad, but now all I can think about is a joke from the Far Side...

"If this works, we'll eat like Kings!"

Off Topic, I found myself putting extra effort into this post hoping that it would seem relevant enough to be NEWS:

How does on go about that anyway?

Falling into one of those webs would be the single-worst moment of anyone's life.

You know, guys, if we all our own houses, kinda nearby each other, but not too close, it'll appear to the aliens as if we're cooperating!

Might be worth looking at the area for exotic plants or chemical sprays.
