I'm lost

SEP 01, 2007 12:09 AM

Just when you think Fox News can't get any worse, they put on their animal pelts and take out their clubs. Two days ago CBS News announced that Katie Couric would go to Iraq to report on whether the US is making any progress. (I can anwer that: No)

CBS anchor Katie Couric is embarking on an ambitious reporting trip to Iraq and Syria - her first time in the war zone - in anticipation of a crucial military report on progress of the U.S. effort.

She will anchor the CBS Evening News from Baghdad Tuesday and Wednesday, then from Damascus next Thursday and Sept. 7.

Naturally, Fox News lost their fucking minds because a WOMAN was going to Iraq to report on the war. Neil Cavuto, John Gibson and the rest of the assholes at Fox ranted about Couric going to Iraq because she is a single mother. Apparently, it is irresponsible for a single mother to do her job.

One of the best ways to show how foolish and horrible Katie Couric is being, is to have a debate between two women. They brought in a law professor from USC who supports Couric's decision and an ex-speechwriter for George H. Bush, who is opposed. The con-Couric woman is a member of the Concerned Women For America.

We are the nation's largest public policy women's organization with a rich 28-year history of helping our members across the country bring Biblical principles into all levels of public policy.

So, she has a vagina AND a Bible. That means Katie should listen to her.

So, there you go. That round lady made some great points.

Couric is not going because she's a member of the armed forces; she's going because of her ambition.

Who can argue against such a thoughtful and enlightened point? How dare an American network news anchor go to a war zone to report on a war that has led to the death of over 3,700 US soldiers! The big lady should have her vagina revoked. Do they do that? They should.

It must be shocking for Fox News anchors to see someone actually being a journalist. They see the behavior as foreign and disturbing. The Fox News gang is totally confused that someone would want to go to the source and just report on a story, instead of manufacturing it in their New York studio.

Also, somebody should tell Fox News that when they say Couric should not go to Iraq, they are telling their viewers that the country is a disaster. If a news anchor cannot be protected, then what does that say about the state of Iraq? Somebody needs to think through the propaganda a bit better at Fox.

FearTheReaper did not create an Asshole Fuckface Roundup this week because he is sick. And it's 100 fucking degees outside.

Did the stupid lady say "It's a clear-ass act of desperation" at the start or am I just hearing things? Are they allowed to talk smack like that on Fox News?

Maybe you should read some of Michael Totten's work. There hasn't been a lot of progress, but there has been some.

Hammer, meet nailhead. I hope someone in the media (no offense, guys) picks up on this. By the way, I think SG misspelled Bitch_PhD's name on the byline. Awesome article all the same.

Fox News personally believes that US American womens are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't like maps, and, uh, they believe that our education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as and they believe that they should, our womens over here in the US should help the US, er, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, over here, so we will be able to build up our future for our children.

Yeah, but they're there because they're members of the armed forces, whereas Katie Couric is only going because of her ambition. Which women, of course, should not be permitted to have.

Look, just because someone doesn't have a penis, it doesn't automatically mean they have a vagina.

And dude, I see you're in Tustin. Did they ever fix the mess on the 55 fwy/5 fwy interchange? It was a fucking traffic disaster when I last lived in that area.

What's-her-face actually brought up Jessica Lynch as an example of "the bad things that can happen to a woman"?

What, you might get injured, taken care of by the enemy, and then turned into a fake publicity stunt?

Jesus. How does this bullshit get perpetuated?

Oh, right.
