for whatever reason, there are a lot of people go brain dead when there is a camera on them. its not exactly the newest gag in the book.
surely you can come up with a better reason to feel good (or ashamed) about something you had nothing to do with. besides, times square isn't exactly new yorker central.

Give me a fucking break. Don't try to excuse that bullshit. I lived in NY for 5 years. It has a pretty large share of idiots.

my point is that host and cameraman could have been asking people what 2 + 2 is, and in a high traffic area you can easily get a 1:39 of people saying "22" or whatever other senseless answer you want in less than an hour.
Yes, then they could be sued. I've worked in plenty of reality tv and done plenty of MOS interviews. You could be sued for quite a large amount of money for doing that.
Possible. Probability very low.
More probable - he just talked to the many idiots who were walking the streets.

sued for what? being tricked into signing a release for $20? getting flustered on camera doesn't make you an idiot.
sorry for being difficult. ill play along now.
yeah! people are... um, i mean americans are SO stupid!!!
I thought you were saying it was some clever editing. Sorry, read it wrong.
But, yes, many people in our country our idiots. Read the polls of how many people know who Dick Cheney is. Not hard to find morons. And in my experience, for every very intelligent person in New York City, there was a profound idiot.
Flustered. Maybe. Idiots. Probable. I've done those kind of MOS's. Trust me, people are that dumb.
You wouldn't even have responded to this if it wasn't NY. You guys are pretty predictable.
and thanks DG. that video makes a way stronger case for idiocy, in my opinion.
Lee Greenwood is a national treasure. The words to that song are ingrained on my heart by being made to sing it at pretty much every single military elementary school assembly ever when my family was stationed overseas. It would take lye and drain cleaner to remove them. Oh god, the horror......
That is so sad,yes these are the people of our country. I am not really surprised though, idiots like this is the reason we go to over seas labor, and the reason we should let the mexicans cross the border. Honestly I think we should deport all the idiots like that, stupidity like that does not deserve to breathe.
Wow thats quite bad, but im sure there would be some people in London that would be exactly the same if you put them on camera. Stupid people are everywhere.
