Hillary Clinton is getting the 2008 voting started early, posting a YouTube video on her website this afternoon in which she URGES supporters to cast their vote for her official campaign theme song.

This above video is a feature in Hillary's MySpace blog. If you took the 52 seconds to watch Hillary's "News & Politics" clip, hopefully you made it to the bathroom quickly, and were able to wash off the dirty feeling of unbridled, nonsensical fluff. I washed for a long time before I started to feel clean again.

Coming on the heels of her text messaging effort launched earlier this week, Hillary continues to engage with Americans and encourage them to get involved in her campaign.

"I hope people from across the country will go to my website and vote for the song they feel best represents our message of change and their hopes for a better America," Hillary said. "And I promise to leave the singing to the professionals."

A hope that we as a people can decide on the ever important and nagging political query that burns in the minds of all freedom loving people -- what particular song best represents our future leaders.

Way to spotlight the important issues there, Hillary.

Hillary's list of potential campaign songs includes:
* City of Blinding Lights - U2
* Suddenly I See - KT Tunstall
* I'm a Believer - Smash Mouth
* Get Ready - The Temptations
* Ready to Run - Dixie Chicks
* Rock This Country! - Shania Twain
* Beautiful Day - U2
* Right Here, Right Now - Jesus Jones
* I'll Take You There - The Staple Singers

As much as I hate to say this, she should choose Dixie Chicks just to give the Republicans something else to talk about.

Hillary could be the first president to post political questionaires on myspace:

Should we pull out of Iraq?

Yes

No

Ask me next year.

Love Me I'm a Liberal
by Jello Biafra, Mojo Nixon, and Phil Ochs

I cried when they shot John Lennon
Tears ran down my spine
And I cried when I saw "JFK"
As if I'd lost a father of mine
But Malcom-X and Ice-T had it coming
They got what they asked for this time

So love me, love me, love me,
I'm a liberal

I go to pro-choice rallies
Recycle my cans and jars
I'll honk if you love the Dead
Hope those funny Grunge bands become stars
But don't talk about revolution
That's going a little bit to far

So love me, love me, love me,
I'm a liberal

I cheered when Clinton was chosen
My faith in the system reborn
I'll do anything to save our schools
If my taxes aint too much more
And I love Blacks and Gays and Latinos
As long as they don't move next door

So love me, love me, love me,
I'm a liberal

Rush Limbaugh and the L.A.P.D.
Should all hang thier heads in shame
I can't understand where they're at
Arsenio should set them straight
But if neighborhood watch doesn't know you
I hope the cops take your name

So love me, love me, love me,
I'm a liberal

Yeah, I read the New Republican
Rolling Stone and Mother Jones too
If I vote it's a democrat
With a sensible economy view
But when it comes to terrorist Arabs
There is no one more red, white, and blue

So love me, love me, love me,
I'm a liberal

Once I was young and had an attitude
Stickers covered the car I drove in
Even went on some direct actions
When there weren't rent-a-cops to be seen
Ah, but now I've grown older and wiser
And that's why I'm turning you in

So love me, love me, love me,
I'm a liberal

I vote for...

The Gadjit's "Party Girl"
or
Orange's "I'ma Cunt!"

It would be the hip, youth-oriented thing to do.

I didn't think it was that bad. I smiled. She's trying to look like a person, amenable, etc... That was after all one of the bigger complaints with Dole in 2000 (too robotic), no?

As to the song, I could care less.
