I'm lost

APR 05, 2007 11:12 PM

It finally happened. Bill OÂ’ReillyÂ’s head exploded today on the air. It was bound to happen, although nobody expected it to occur during an ugly exchange with Geraldo. The two met today on The Factor to discuss a drunk driving-illegal immigrant case that Bill has been pounding his chest over.

On Friday night in Virginia Beach, two teenage girls were killed when a drunk driver hit their car. The driver, Alfredo Ramos, is an illegal immigrant who had previously been arrested for driving while intoxicated. O’Reilly believes Ramos should have been deported after the first conviction and “plans on making an example out of Virginia Beach.” He is on a crusade to get the Mayor removed from office.

The Virginia Beach police chief says his officers only question immigration status when there is a felony involved, otherwise it is a federal matter. OÂ’Reilly also said the governor is doing nothing about immigration. The governor also responded that immigration is supposed to he handled at the federal level.

The father of one of the deceased girls said O’Reilly turning this into an immigration issue “loses the focus that the girls were killed by a man that police said was driving drunk.”

So, today Geraldo came on The Factor and he had a different opinion than crazy Bill. Bill no likey when people donÂ’t agree with him.

Okay, that is a lunatic. How much rage can one man have inside him? He seriously looks like he is going to hit Geraldo at one point. ItÂ’s called Wellbutrin, Bill.

This is exactly why I got rid of my TV 3 years ago.

WOW!!!!! I watch O'Reilly almost everyday and this is the coolest thing I have ever scene yet on the factor. Unscripted Verbal Violence at its best. Bill never looses his cool like this! But I side with Rivera on this one because it's not about immigration, but about drunk driving. love

They both seemed pretty angry to me. Although I pity O'Reilly for his inability to see beyond his limited perceprions and the divisive and therefore, in my mind, futile attempt at public discourse.

+1.
I couldn't have imagined that happening in my lifetime.

It's funny - in real life, people have no patience for ignorant, bigoted, aggressive, loudmouth, blowhards. And yet, they choose to spend time watching Bill O'Reilly on TV.

Maybe someday, Bill O'Reilly will have to start televising tours through Al Capone's vault.

Haha, I just watched this video and that particular insult totally stuck out to me.

Then, I suddenly got a visual of Geraldo doing a Sex Pistols cover.

I don't know he seemed to lose his cool pretty completely over that guy in Fahrenheit 911 whose Dad (?) died on 9/11.

I think the most difficult thing about watching O'Reilly (for me, anyway) is the fact that he expects his guests to be open to changing their opinions and/or views while he appears to be completely unwilling to bend.

Pro-wrestling.

Bill's face was doing some crazy things, but the segment had FAKE all over it.

I would guess that Geraldo was challenged to shave his moustache - but I think that's already been done?

And there is TOO MUCH YELLING on TV!!!! Is there a petition to make it stop??

Erm, I can't believe I'M saying this, but O'Reilly is right...in his own crazy way. What he was saying and what Geraldo seemed to be missing, was that this guy is an illegal immigrant or a "not-supposed-to-be-here-guy" and because of the lack of border control, this girl is dead. Yes, there is the drunk driving aspect, but in O'Reilly's mind, this was preventable by 75 foot high, 16 foot thick concrete fences spanning Mexico.

As much as I love to jump down this douchenozzle's throat, I can't do it this time. He's not wrong. He isn't right, but he's not wrong.

Weird, I watched it again and I cannot believe that I actually wished the video went on longer to hear where it was going next.

I can see your point, DyeWhiteGirls...but I also see Geraldo's point which seems to be that this is a very rare and isolated case compared to the other 347 drunk driving fatalities in Virginia-something (I had to replay it but still couldn't understand what he was saying because Bill is louder).

But even then, border control is way too much of a patient zero to be a viable means of addressing the situation as it stands. By pointing the giant paper-maché faux-weapons of his vitriol at local- and state-level immigration issues in a state which is at least 1000 miles away from the border in question, he only obscures solutions to a problem with which he claims to take such dramatic issue.

I like the fact that there is news reported on this site, but FeartheReaper, you're a fucking hack. Why can't you just report the news and let the readers make up their own minds on it? You always have to add your cute little opinion to your articles. It almost makes me regret signing up to this site in the first place, seeing hot tattooed and pierced naked chicks barely outweighs the rage I feel knowing that I support your mindless rants.
