This is too much. Phoenix Fox 10 News runs a poll to see who is "the most foolish American" and the host proclaims--Britney Spears the winner! That wouldn't be surprising except that the real
winner of the poll was...drum roll please...George Bush.

To be fair to FOX, this appears to be a local affiliate and not "the" FOX News. This appears to be more or less stupidity and/or spin by a local station in Phoenix, AZ.

Yes, but these comments are absolutely in line with what FOX corporate tries to forward. I'll certainly agree there's no direct culpability on the part of Rupert Murdoch or Roger Ailes, but I'd be surprised if the local receives any kind of sanctions from corporate over this.

It's not so hard to see this as another example from the same network that brought us Osama/Obama.

For me, the testament to "Fair and Balanced" will be proven when there is a democratic president and seeing how they treat him or her. I never paid attention to Fox (or any news to be honest) during the Clinton terms to see how they supported or trashed the president (not including Cigargate).

I watch a combination of CNN, MSNBC and FOX and they all make mistakes and they all have some sort of spin. To claim that one is worse than the other is ignorant.

Lately, I've been skimming through/watching "headline news" just to not have to listen to the opinions.

Actually, as I look around the internet, it looks more and more likely that this was just a typo on the screen. Multiple online news outlets are reporting Britney Spears actully "won" the poll.

Or, you could use it as an example of the liberal bias at FOXNews Phoenix

So, I neverminded a blast about this a while back.

Then I looked at the internet, too. There are a few reports of this, but all from rather random sources. I don't know what to believe. It strikes me as odd that if it were a type they all add to (nearly) 100%.

Yes, but they only show the top few vote-getters. If it was an free response poll, there could be hundreds of less than 1 percent answers. Such as, "Joe Mama."

Certainly. My point is more that if there were just a plain old typo then the numbers wouldn't nearly reach the full total. So is the typo that they switched the numbers?

Got it.

The graphic is from an internal poll on the station's website.

The figures are from the national poll.

It's just bad producing, putting the graphic up FAR too early to make the story clear. You can tell that the newscasters are talking about the national poll, but the legend on the graphiic reads "MyFOXPhoenix Poll."

And you can still vote!

OJ Simpson doesn't need to be on that list. The prosecution and 12 jurors do.

Again, it apears that the poll they're talking about is different from the one on the graphic. Watch the clip again, and it will make sense. it's just shoddy-ass producing.
