Why do you never hear "Death to New Zealand! Death to the Czech Republic!" during these angry protests? Surely New Zealand and the Czech Republic have their share of infidels too. Why should they feel left out? Or does it just not roll off the tongue as smoothly?

"Death to the USA! And also to Papua, New Guinea and all its indiginous ethnicities! Zanzibar, we bear you ill will, and harbour an abiding distaste for Pago Pago and the infidels of certain portions of Boznia-Hergozovina! Liechtenstein, we brandish our scimitars at you as well, and pee upon your shadow! Don't think you've escaped our eyes!"

Potentially stirring stuff.

Everyone loves kiwis (the fruit) and vodka, that's why. Simple.

Also, Czech porn is universally hot.

Come on folks, let's see some intelligent comments here instead of bombing this thread with joke pictures. Regardless of whether you agree with Glenn Beck's politics you have to admit that the footage shown here is shocking.

If you were to see footage of Americans or Israelis preaching hate against Iranian civilians you would be the first to stand up and condemn it. Do you not feel similarly motivated to condemn those who would preach hatred against American and Israeli civilians?

Actually, I value the right to free speech whether it's in my country or anyone else's. Sure I don't what they are chanting and suggesting, but I believe they have that right - regardless of what you or I think of it.

You may think these guys are "whacked out" or whatever...but maybe to them - they see their enemy the same way you're looking at these "terrorists." The label of "terrorist" applies to either side...depending on whose side you're viewing from.

I have been purposefully avoiding this thread and biting my toungue, but this is an issue I'd like to mention and I knew it would come up. I picked this post because it was the first one I came across.

Here's the deal: The Constitution protects the right to free speech, but it does not support the right to lie in the media. That's called libel and it's against the law. Pepsi does not, in fact, stand for "Pay Each Penny Save Israel" and if someone were to make that claim on television in the States you can rest assured lawsuits would follow, and they would be legally justified. Now before you reply (anonymous you, not Gringo you), yeah I know that our laws and our constitution are not binding on Iranians. That goes for the right to free speech too, though.
I have no problem with free speech, and I have no problem with people voicing political views that differ from my own, no matter how extreme they may be. But I do have a problem with the lies that are spread about Jews all over the world.

All that said, I agree that the Glenn Beck piece is rediculous fear mongering. I wish there were a decent clip from Ted Koppel's recent feature to provide a little antidote, but it seems the only one to make it to you tube so far portrays Iran in the worst light of the whole two hour special. Go figure.

I just got to page two and saw that this was already adressed fairly thoroughly, so please feel free to ignore me.
