you are not fooling anyone, including yourself

just how long does one keep slamming your head into a brick wall until you get the point that you're going to get hurt? things aren't going to change and there is no point in continuing to do the same fucking shit day after day? so much time wasted... time I'll never get back... frown

ugh, I'm having a hard time adjusting to Texas "culture". there is a burger chain here called "what-a-burger". kinda like a cheap version of BurgerMaster... and without tartar for your fries. every resturant seems to have their own slang when it comes to ordering food. at whataburger they say "all the way". do I want my burger all the way? ah no, please just take...

lol....that reminds me my first time in the UK. I had to buy some stuff in the corner's grocery shop and the old lady there was ending all her phrases to me with 'luv.

I was kinda suspicious smile
volkov:
you will learn to love the Whataburger. or the Whataburger ninjas will come and kill you.

I usually just tell them "with everything". if they say back "all the way" I know it's just thier Whatatraining and nod. they really do make great burgers though.

answered in the group thread but I'll put it here too. lane splitting isn't legal in Texas...yet. they've been workingon getting it passed but there's a lot of "why do THEY get to move through gridlock traffic!?" resistance to it. It's supposed to be back on the docket this fall for consideration...but our state legislature is not a professional one at all. food fights...and fist fights...have been known to break out on the Congress floor.

is there a lot of need for lane splitting in Tyler? or are you getting out towards Dallas a lot? good riding around that part of the state. I get thru there on my way to Shreveport once a month but usually in a car.

I hate Tyler...

I had heard that the medical community here was the best in east Texas... well so far it a level of care that belongs 20 years in the past. no 'at home' dialysis. 5 year old machines, staff that are not properly trained and poorly trained at that. My doctor is an asshole with a god complex. my first meeting with him...

everything about the move has been great. a nice new house, over doubled my living space. my new house sits on three lots of land. just one of those lots is larger than the entire lot my old house in Seattle sat on. New car, very nice. My motorcycle arrived yesterday along with all my other stuff. boxes everywhere. but I went for a ride,...

it was bonfire night, well guy fawkes night actually. a long long time ago some bloke called guy fawkes plotted to blow-up the houses of parliament. he failed & was burned alive i think or something like that, i hated history lessons at school & don't think i actually took any of it in, hence the very vague explanation!
no-one really celebrates it as guy fawkes night really anymore, it's just an excuse for pepole to let fireworks off & for stupid kids to injure themselves, or tie bangers to cats tails! mad
thearcanecircle:
that site fucking rules btw. I now have a new desktoped beamed to me from the sombrero galaxy, to the hubble, to me. It makes me want to stare at my lcd monitor all day long.,

is it bad form to vote for yourself IF you don't think you have the best entry? my photo submission in this months contest got a couple of votes, so I'm more than happy. but going over the votes there were a couple of people that said "I'm voting for myself"... so vain that they really feel their entry was the best? I didn't feel...
