The Ducati shindig was fun tonight; the food was good, the bikes sexy as hell. I didnt stay for the movie though. I got tired and came home.
Friday morning was less than fun. I watched the morning news to check the weather. They said there would be rain soon. I went outside to see what was actually happening, it wasnt raining. So I hopped on the bike and headed to dialysis. A couple of block from the house, it doesnt start raining Seattle Style, it starts pouring. I turned around and went home to get my rain gear, put it on, and start out again. The rain had slackened when I left, a few blocks from the house it frikkin stopped of course.
Seattle has the worst weather anytime anything exciting happens in the sky. This month the Perseid meteor shower (also know as the Pleiades meteor shower) is happening, Aug. 12th will be the night it reaches maximum. Well have to wait and see if for once, damnit, the weather will cooperate.
I think I have mention my friend before, DJ Drunken Master. His music has been used in the Animatrix DVD, the special extras on The Matrix 1&2. 8 of his songs are going to be on and upcoming National Geographic special airing in August. and now he is working with The Seattle Neutrino Project. This is basically an improvised movie. The actors improvise scenes suggested by the audience, the raw footage is sent back to the theater and the music is added in real time with the audience watching, while the actors are already working on the next scene. Each movie is different from the rest. Sounds cool, and I cant wait to see it.
We might be working on a second song soon, Ive already helped with the guitars parts on Drunk in Shanghai. I might do vocals on this new one.
Since the seat on my bike will cause a medical problem if I continue to go on long trips, so Im going to look into seeing if my insurance might cover the cost of the new custom fitted seat. That would be nice but I have my doubts.
My mother works for this advertising agency, and they have put out a DVD Creativity at Work for all the employees. I had lunch with Mom today and watched it, very fucking cool I thought. Im going to try and post it. It really is something to see. And you know how much I hate advertising.
Well any road trip is now probably not going to happen this year, so Ill save more money and have a better one next year. Either Montana or California. California will have better roads that arent straight and boring but Montana is supposed to be beautiful, and Id like to waste some film there. Well shall see.
