ugh, I'm having a hard time adjusting to Texas "culture". there is a burger chain here called "what-a-burger". kinda like a cheap version of BurgerMaster... and without tartar for your fries. every resturant seems to have their own slang when it comes to ordering food. at whataburger they say "all the way". do I want my burger all the way? ah no, please just take my burger to second base. all the way? oh hell no, no having sex with my food. what's wrong with "the works", or "everything on it"? for fucks sake.
so I had enough today. I tried to order food, and the girl insisted on saying "all the way". no, I don't know what that means... so I re-ordered. again blah blah blah all the way. again, no, I have no idea what that means and I don't want it that way. I re-ordered, this time slower. balh balh blah all the way. fine I say, go all the way with the burger, but then you eat tha damn thing, I don't like people molesting my food. I drove off and went to taco bell. the food is shit, but at least they speak something that sounds like english there

I was kinda suspicious
I usually just tell them "with everything". if they say back "all the way" I know it's just thier Whatatraining and nod. they really do make great burgers though.
answered in the group thread but I'll put it here too. lane splitting isn't legal in Texas...yet. they've been workingon getting it passed but there's a lot of "why do THEY get to move through gridlock traffic!?" resistance to it. It's supposed to be back on the docket this fall for consideration...but our state legislature is not a professional one at all. food fights...and fist fights...have been known to break out on the Congress floor.
is there a lot of need for lane splitting in Tyler? or are you getting out towards Dallas a lot? good riding around that part of the state. I get thru there on my way to Shreveport once a month but usually in a car.
