So, after the excitement that was the Dark Souls 2 Network Beta (network bits didn't quite work, but I managed to slay the two bosses in the area. Woot), I had nothing else planned. A facebook-friend asked if I wanted to tag along on a photo-walk.
So, said and done. We walked through some of the newly-build areas in Malmö. In particular, the western harbour ("Västra hamnen"), an area that's almost been completely developed since the last time I lived in Malmö.
Here are some snaps.
First we came across something that used to belong to the wharf in Malmö, or the ship-renovating part. Parts of it have been converted quite a decent skate-park ("Stapelbäddsparken"). And in the midst of all the concrete, something gave me pause. In a tiny little hole, in the midst of the concrete - a few strands of grass. Nature is quite devious in that way. It'll always find a way.
And then, we came upon the monstrosity that is The Turning Torso. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turning_Torso ). The tallest, most bizarre skyscraper in the Nordics. 190 meters (623 feet) tall, in a 90 degree angle over the length of it. It looks quite scary. As if it shouldn't be able to stand.
And, of course. We saw a pretty, naked lady. I had to post it, because. You know. This is SG.
Toodles!
