Talking with Alyssa tuesday night about our wednesday lunch plans she suddenly started telling me to "come tonight" well, awesome idea. Downside to it being that I worked till 9 and wouldn't be out until 9:30 or so, and the 2 last buses from Milton to Toronto would leave at 9:25 and 10:25 and take almost 2 hours, so if I did go, i'd be arriving at midnight. My sister is awesome and dropped me off at oakville after work to catch the 10:30 train which only took half an hour.
Now, she's staying at her friends place (Laura, the one who had been helping me out and talking to me through everything) and was telling me to stay the night, which I thought may be a touch awkward since she stays in Lor's room, and when questioned about it it turned out that Lor was going to be staying at her boyfriends place for the night, and had actually suggested that she have me over.
Awesome. Her friend has so much approval for me that not only did she suggest that I come over and spend the night, but knew that we'd be sleeping in her bed and was cool with it.
On a slightly less TMI subject, we ended up having another good talk about our situation, and though the same basics were there about her wanting to be single for the time being etc, we got some more cleared up. Also when it was mentioned to her that one of her friend's roommates had added me to facebook, she got kind of uncomfortable/mad about it, apparently she'd be the kind of girl to try to being me out for a quick lay from what i've heard. Judging from the reaction, Alyssa got a little defensive/protective of me, but i'm not going to read too far into it. After having the conversation and feeling the bond between us improving some more, I went into a quiet debate with myself about whether or not to give her the bracelet i'd picked up in the Dominican for her. She knew right away that something was on my mind, but I didn't let it slip out right away.
I decided that it'd be a good moment and had her close her eyes as I put it on her wrist so she wouldn't see.
I was really nervous about it, if she'd like it or not. Well, she loved it! Even went so far as to remove the original clasp and just pinch it together so it wouldn't come off
