sooooo i think i might have PMDD. aka premenstrual dysphoric disorder. i.e i get the crazies two to three weeks out of every month.
the list of symptoms says five or more indicates that you may have it...yeah, i count 14 out of the 16 listed. so this little zoo is making a gyno appointment asap. lol. i was so shocked when i found out about it- i thought, holy shit. i didn't realize there was a name for severe monthly cuntiness, or a possible physical reason for my psychotic behavior. you really mean i don't have to live like this?? this isn't normal??
treatment options include (obviously proper diet and exercise) prozac, zoloft, lexapro, paxil, the pill, or some combination thereof. fuck it- i'll own up to my lunacy. but if there's a way around it, bring it the fuck on! it'd be nice to not be labeled "intense" anymore.
this is, of course, all pending diagnosis from a medical professional.
in other news, date #2 went great. and i am feeling much much better about life in general. see, soon as the crimson tide is gone, i'm all sorts of fucking sunshine and roses!

I have it but I'm on the birth control that is supposed to help. I still get a bit of the crazy the weekend before my rag.

I have it too. They will do blood tests and make you track your symptoms for up to two months. Then they will try to put you on the pill (I wasn't going back on it) or on anti-depressants (wasn't getting on those either) or tell you to take a b-vitamin supplement and exercise more. There is not much they can really do for it since it is a hormone imbalance, unless you go to one of those crazy doctors and get hormone replacement therapy. It sucks a big one. I get super stressed and anxious the week before aunt flo decides to join the party and I cry at the drop of a hat, especially at work. It is pretty inconvenient. Good luck in your treatment.
