Southern Hospitality is a lie! I've been down in South Carolina very close to Georgia for 3 weeks now...it's a fucking lie!!!

I was called a "Yankee" 15 times in the 3 days I spent in Savannah. It was always said with an air of spite and derision like I was going to steal from them or something. At one point I told a woman at a diner (who called me a Yankee) that the town was the only place I had ever been that celebrated a loss.

I think that it depends on where you go. People were really nice in Mytrle Beach, Charleston, and Hilton Head; however, they are toury towns.
