I was called a "Yankee" 15 times in the 3 days I spent in Savannah. It was always said with an air of spite and derision like I was going to steal from them or something. At one point I told a woman at a diner (who called me a Yankee) that the town was the only place I had ever been that celebrated a loss.

I think that it depends on where you go. People were really nice in Mytrle Beach, Charleston, and Hilton Head; however, they are toury towns.

Yeah, I agree. She is doing it just for the money and the 15 minutes of fame. You can tell because she is selling her story to the highest bidder. It is like that family in PA or NJ that named all their kids after the Third Reich. They got media coverage because a store refused to put Adolf Hitler Campbell name on a birthday cake. The good news is that Child Services eventually came by and took the kids away. People do funny and crazy things for money and fame!

Sorry to hear about your illness. I have worked at a McDonald's a "few" years of my life and due to this, I think I have built an immunity to nastiness - that and the ability to "inhale" my food that I eat since one of the owner's break policy sucked.
